Ipstar have advised Activ8me that there will be an outage for emergency maintenance in the Broken Hill satellite gateway.

The Broken Hill gateway provides services to the following beams:

Port Macquarie (506), Melbourne (508), Adelaide (509) and Hobart (510).

Your satellite internet service will be impacted during this period.

Activ8me Phone Line and ADSL Customer Outage

Some Activ8me Phone Line and ADSL customers are currently experiencing an outage on their service.  One of our wholesale service providers has gone into administration which has caused the issue. We are currently working with one of our other providers to reinstate the services.

We appologise for any inconvenience that this issue has caused our customers and are working to have the services up and running ASAP.

Satellite Outage Notification

Dear Customer,

Ipstar have advised that the fibre link from Kalgoorlie satellite gateway to the Ipstar data centre in Sydney requires emergency repair works, the outage window is expected to last up to 6 hours as follows:


Start Date:     Wednesday 30/10/2013        Start Time:        03:00 AM (AEDT)
Finish Date:  Wednesday 30/10/2013         Finish Time:      09:00 AM (AEDT)


The Kalgoorlie gateway provides services to the following beams:
Perth (501), Cairns (503), Mackay (504), Sydney/Canberra (507), Shaped (514), Brisbane (505, 505/2)
and  Darwin (502). Your satellite internet service will be impacted during this period.

Update for NBN Satellite

We’re experiencing high internet demand due to the latest Apple release of the new operating system, and coupled with the school holidays this has placed strain on the NBN Satellite network during peak periods.
We expect the demand to start subsiding over the next few days. We apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

NBN Satellite Bandwidth Upgrade

Update for our NBN satellite customers,

The NBN satellite bandwidth upgrade commenced early this morning and is currently underway.     NBN satellite customers who have experienced reduced speeds should notice an improvement in speeds within the week.   Please note, the congestion issue is only affecting evening and weekend usage times.  If you are having issues outside of these times, your issue may be unrelated and I recommend you contact our support team on 1300 76 02 19 to investigate your particular circumstances.   Thank you for your understanding as we upgrade our bandwidth to cater for the growing usage needs of our valued customers.

NBN Satellite Speed Issue

To our valued NBN satellite customers,

We have identified a temporary network congestion issue on some NBN satellite beams due to a recent increase in data usage. As a result, some of our NBN satellite customers are experiencing reduced speeds. We have worked with NBN on the issue and we expect an NBN bandwidth upgrade to occur in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Activ8me apologises for the inconvenience in the interim.
