Cost Of Equipment and Install
Equipment and installation of are provided free of charge to consumers. nbn will cover the cost of equipment and installation.
Will I require new equipment?
Yes, as Sky Muster is a new technology, a new satellite dish and modem is required to have access to the service.
Sky Muster equipment comes with a lifetime equipment warranty covered by nbn. This warranty covers equipment issues and failures. If you accidentally damage any of the equipment or cables, you will need to contact Activ8me to request repair, which you may be charged for. nbn will not cover damages caused by you.
If your equipment is damaged by natural disasters (Fire, Flood, Storm etc.), you will have to claim the cost of equipment and installtion via home and contents insurance.
How big are the satellite dish and modem?
The satellite dish and modem are about the same size as your existing equipment.
Will my old equipment be de-installed at the time of Sky Muster equipment installation?
De-installation of equipment is the responsibility of the home owner. At the time of signing up for Sky Muster, you have the option to have the old equipment de-installed during the installation of the Sky Muster equipment; however, this is at the discretion of the nbn and the installer on the day.
What are the peak and off-peak times?
Peak times are 7:00am to 1:00am (Local Time Zone).
Off-Peak times are 1:00am to 7:00am (Local Time Zone).
Will I be charged for excess usage?
No, Activ8me plans have no excess usage. Once you use you data, you speeds will be shaped (slowed) for the remainder of your billing month.
What are the shaping speeds?
If you use all of your peak data, your service will be slowed to 128kbps/128kbps during peak hours for the remainder of your billing month.
If you use all of your off-peak data, your speeds will be slowed to 128kbps/128kbps during off-peak hours for the remainder of your billing month.
